1. Introduction
RunSweden ("we", "us", "our") is a Swedish marathon and race discovery app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the RunSweden iOS application.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information:
- Account information — your name and email address when you create an account via email, Apple Sign In, or Google Sign In.
- Race preferences — races you save to your watchlist, completed races, and personal bests you enter.
- Subscription status — whether you have an active RunSweden Pro plan, stored locally on your device.
- Device information — app version and iOS version used to improve stability.
- Location — only if you grant permission, used to show races near you on the map. Location is never stored on our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and personalise the RunSweden app for you
- To send push notification reminders about race deadlines (only if you grant permission)
- To manage your Pro subscription
- To improve the app based on usage patterns
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Data Storage
Your account and app data is stored securely in Supabase (EU-North-1 region, Stockholm, Sweden), protected by Row-Level Security — only you can access your own data. Subscription status is stored in your device's Keychain.
5. Third-Party Services
- Supabase — database and authentication (EU-hosted, Stockholm)
- Apple Sign In — optional login method, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
- Google Sign In — optional login method, governed by Google's Privacy Policy
- Apple StoreKit — handles Pro subscription purchases. We do not see your payment details.
- Stripe — used for optional one-time payments. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the third-party services listed above, as necessary to operate the app.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
As a Swedish/EU resident you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Data portability
- Object to processing
You can delete your account at any time from the RunSweden app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data immediately.
8. Children
RunSweden is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of material changes to this policy via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
